From a different perspective... What can you see?

I was introduced to “The Secret” a few years ago and it really opened my eyes. No matter what you believe, the power of your mind is undeniable. I used to see these weird coincidences and just write them off. But after this rule was introduced to me everything was explained. Seeing just how powerful the law of attraction had always been in my life I had to embrace what I found.

I started really practicing the law of attraction and knowing that I could bring things into existence in my life. This was a complete mind shift. For someone who went to school, went to college, got a job, then built a career it changed it all. Everything was so much clearer, so much easier than it needed to be. And it didn’t have to be what you thought there was more to all of this.

I learned that I didn’t have to follow the mold. I didn’t have to have the same expectations out of life. I could attract the things I wanted to do and push away the things I didn’t. Not only did it help me really get all I want out of my job, but it gave me the little nudge I needed. The nudge to take the plunge. To put my heart into a book, publish those pages, and share this story with everyone.

This new perspective on life helped me enjoy the process and trust that a publisher would find me at the right time. Even with an incredible amount of responsibilities on my plate I knew I could still find the time if I made it part of my world. I am not exaggerating this at all, between starting this book I had a baby, breastfed for a year, received a promotion then changed jobs, learned real estate accounting at my new job, remodeled our house after being uprooted by a tornado, moved in and out of my parents‘ house, juggled a garden and home care once we were home, earned all my required CPE for my certificate, and managed to maintain my sanity.

Looking back it really was a lot that went on during my writing process. But all the while I kept this one thing in mind that I learned from my new found perspective, you can use the power of your mind to attract anything into your life. So I attracted the time, the interest in my book, the readers, the publisher, the contract, the pages, the words, and the love for this whole journey. I don’t look back at my work and wonder what I should have done different. I know that through this law of attraction it all happened just as it needed to put me right where I need to be, holding my book upside down on my couch for a fun photo shoot.

I will continue to use my mind to draw in what I want and need while pushing away anything I don’t want. Keeping the mindset steady will always be the most difficult task, but now after seeing it work, I will always be ready to put in the leg-work to get there. Especially as I continue on my endeavors, onto a next book, journal, children’s book, and building myself.

Do you need to change your perspective to open your life up to what you need?

It isn’t hard if you just listen to the signs and really embrace this new perspective. You really never know where it can take you.
